Finished another part of Steph's Cube the other day. The "Self-Contained" collaboration with Seth and Steph (can't get the link to work sorry) is about half way now and the pieces are looking and feeling better every time. I can't wait for the next round to arrive on my doorstep.
This is the second time I have contributed to the Cube, one more round to go around!
These weeks have been quite busy.. I don't know if you remember I said a while ago something big was going to happen this year and I would announce soon? Well..
Together with Sharon I started organising a pretty cool Art Retreat, the concept being quite different, grungy and out there, we thought it would be great. Some pretty amazing teachers were going to be involved, (Judy and Seth) and we were in the final stages of our planning when we came across some hard to overcome difficulties and decided not to run it (yet). Bummer.
So no other big news to come.. I am still thinking about the coolness of our concept but am also accepting the way it is. And who knows what will happen next!
Too hot to sit here any longer, my arms are starting to stick to the desk.. Argh.. Bye!
Bummer! after blog hopping all your links there and having a good look I agree it would have definitely been cool! maybe the difficulties will overcome themselves???...maybe...?

Hi Viv,
Just dropped by to see how you are doing.
I am back in Aus. now. Trying to find my feet. It is amazing how my time away has made me so much more aware of my surroundings.
I hope you manage to find another channel for your creative energy. Your retreat sounded great.

Hey Viv, love the art cube pics. I really love looking at your artwork girl. You can literally see the artistic talent flowing from you and onto your works. What I wouldn't give for that :) The art retreat sounded like an awesome idea and it's a pity that it hasn't worked out (yet) ;) Hopefully one day it will come to fruition. Hope you have a great week. xxx Lynn
PS - I've been looking for some decent priced watercolour crayons for ages and found some at Artistic Journey ( www.artisticjourney.com.au ). Approx $44.00 for 24 of them. They are made by "Gallery". Just wondering if you've heard of the brand. It will be my first time using the crayons and I can't afford to buy the expensive ones. Mum offered to buy these for my birthday. Would love to know what you think of them/if you've used or heard of them, if it's not asking too much? They only have one box left so I'd better get them to hold it for me LOL Thanks Viv. xxx Lynn

Liking the look of your addition to the cube. Cannot wait to see it in person! And I like how you added "yet" to your post about the retreat. Hey...you never know what the future might hold!

I hope you can get the retreat up and off the ground - maybe start a bit smaller. We need something over here and I do believe there is a ready market for it now. BTW I do love your hair without the dreads
