hey hey.. it's a NEW year! I saw the year 2005 written on something last night and said to my buddy something like: "it feels like 2005 was last year.. is it really 5 years ago?? At certain times I simply cannot believe how fast time is spinning, at other times I really don't mind either way, whether it spins fast or slow or at any other pace in between. I don't wish to stop the time like I hear mentioned so often by people around me, especially when they are having a good time or when talking about children.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank YOU. For coming back to my blog to connect and read and see what I've been up to in my little corner of the world. Even if that has not been all that much lately. ;) Wishing you all the best for this coming year and may all your dreams come true!
What is it that I have been up to? In the last couple of blog posts I think it has become somewhat clear that I have not been very creative as such. At least not in the way I got used to, and my creative journey has taken a slight detour off the path. It has been fun and I will keep going. The last few weeks I have been writing a lot..
a lot..
I started using the journal I created about a year ago out of a lot of scraps and stuff about to be thrown out.. let me see if I can find the post..
Some things and projects are planned for this coming year and are starting to take shape. Unfortunately I can't really say anything about this particular project, because things aren't finalized enough yet to be confirmed. Other projects are not planned but will very likely happen. How is that for being cryptic? I felt a bit like Bilbo Baggins there. As soon as things get firmed up I (and others..) will notify YOU. Maybe another month to wait? Maybe two?
After being offered one of these at a dear friends' house how can I not make them at home? Blueberry and banana smoothies.. our new family favorite in this hot weather.
My buddy has been making a lot of timber furniture lately out of recycled (reclaimed) Jarrah and other timbers. He has been making these fabulous playstands the Steiner School Community uses, let me find a picture..
They are for sale and he will make them on consignment (pick the sort of timber, awning, width etc), please email me or leave a comment if you're interested.
Now he has gone on to make a bunk bed using raw timbers (dead branches) and recycled jarrah, and carved posts. I can't wait to see this finished!
Found this link to the tree below this morning which I wanted to share..
Isn't that awesome! Love the idea..
Now the last random thing I'm going to say.. my dreads have had the chop. Gone. My head feels light (literally) and my neck feels sooo relieved it's unbelievable. Yes. Indeed. All gone.
