Thank you so SO much for your help, tips and tricks that really made me get moving. I don't think I have experienced a sort of creative meltdown like this before and who knows? maybe it had to do with the 42 degrees Celsius we have had last week. ;) There is always some sort of excuse hey.. Good thing I can actually laugh at myself for coming up with excuses instead of believing them.
Anyway... what I did was this.... I cleaned up my workspace. Yep. So now I know again where everything lives - which is just awesome (and inspiring in itself). I found all these little piles of stuff. Cards, pictures, beautiful images, quotes, you know 'stuff' that I never wanted to throw away because ???? Yep, the day would come. And it came. Instead of waiting any longer, I grabbed a bag and stuffed every treasure, precious little piece of image or whatever in it. All day long, indeed. My girls were also very happy because they received quite some cool stuff from my cleaning up efforts throughout the day as well. Yay for cleaning up rubbish. Great rubbish I may add.
So that's the pile of stuff yesterday, when I emptied the bag.
Today that same pile plus a few extra's looks like this:
And some of the pages inside:
Now my pages are ready to start writing, drawing, whatever I feel like. This is how I love making my journals... A book all done, which is inspirational and not as blank so it is easier to start pouring my thoughts and feelings onto the pages.
Can you believe I have not yet used any paint or ink for this one???
The painted pieces were already done for another project some time ago.
This is good, and I need to thank you my dear readers :) Can't wait to show more of it as this journal progresses.
I also watched some Andy Goldsworthy clips, a tip from Jenny (thanks!)... This man is such an inspiration, please go and google his name
What else did I get upto? Oh yes, I wanted to show you some more wonderful treasures I found whilst on the hunt for RUST. Here you go and I'll leave you with that. Have a wonderful Sunday..
lovin' your journal Viv, can't wait to see how it evolves.

looks like you are back on track then.
Thanks for the clip of Andy Goldsworthy - I love his stuff. I never tire of reading through books of his work; totally amazing. The patience that man has (not to mention the talent). Looks like I'll be spending some lessons with my grade 11s watching Youtube this year!
